A guided conversation
I bring the questions, the cameras and the patience. They just talk. Most people forget the camera is there within ten minutes.
I sit down with your mom, dad or abuela at their own kitchen table and film a real conversation about their life. You get a beautiful film your family will watch for generations.

Nobody plans to lose them. One day the person who knew every name in the old photo album is gone, and the questions you meant to ask go with them. The recipe with no measurements. How they got here. What they were like at seventeen.
“When an elder dies, it is as if an entire library burns down.” African proverb
A legacy film fixes that while there's still time. Not a stiff studio production. A warm afternoon at their house, their coffee, their couch, with someone who knows how to ask and loves to listen.
And here's the part families don't expect: the person being filmed usually enjoys it the most. Someone finally asked. Someone wrote it all down, except this time it's their face, their voice and that laugh you'd know anywhere.
Years from now, a grandchild who never got to meet them will press play. That's what we're really making.
No scripts and no teleprompters. Just honest storytelling, captured well.

Their favorite chair, their garden, their kitchen. No studio, no driving, no stress. I set up quietly and pack up the same way.
Old photos and home movies appear right where the stories happen, so the wedding picture shows up while they're telling you about the wedding.
Watch it online, download it, share it with the cousins in another state. A keepsake USB comes in the box too.
I've spent over fifteen years helping small businesses tell their story online. Websites, brands, campaigns. Good work I'm proud of. But somewhere along the way I realized the most important stories in my own family lived in exactly one place: the memories of the people I love. And memory doesn't come with a backup.
So I started filming. First my own family, en español y en inglés, and I watched something happen at that kitchen table that no website ever gave me. People sat up straighter. They laughed at things they hadn't thought about in forty years. Legado Films is that table, opened up to your family.
I grew up between two languages, so your interview can happen in English, in Spanish, or the way most families I know actually talk: both at once.
A free 15-minute call. You tell me about them, and I send you a question guide so nobody shows up nervous, including you.
Two to three relaxed hours. Coffee, stories, probably a few happy tears. I handle every bit of the tech so they only have to be themselves.
In about three weeks: edited, organized into chapters, with their photos woven in. Delivered online and on a keepsake USB.
Real prices, right here on the page. No “call for a quote” games.

Muchas de las historias más bonitas de una familia se cuentan en español, y así se deben grabar. La conversación puede ser completamente en español, con subtítulos en inglés para que los nietos no se pierdan ni una palabra.
The full interview can be in Spanish, with English subtitles so the grandkids catch every word.
Almost everyone says that at first. Then we sit at the kitchen table, I ask about her first job or the day she met your dad, and suddenly we're an hour in and laughing. I send a question guide before we film so nothing feels like a test, and I'm patient. The stories are there. They just need someone to ask.
Sooner is always better, but a good day still holds beautiful stories. Older memories often stay vivid the longest. I keep those sessions shorter and gentler, follow his pace, and film more than one visit if that helps. Families tell me those are the recordings they end up watching the most.
Some tears usually show up, and most of them come attached to a laugh. We pause, have some coffee, and keep going when they're ready. Those honest moments are usually the parts the family treasures most, and anything they'd rather leave out, we leave out.
Yes. When time matters, I move fast. I can usually schedule within a few days, keep sessions as short as needed, and work around care routines and nurses. Even twenty minutes of their voice saying what they want their family to know becomes something the family keeps forever.
Yes, and honestly that's how most families do it. Three or four siblings chip in and give the film as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift. I can send separate payment links and payment plans are available.
At your loved one's home, wherever they're most comfortable. I'm based in Apollo Beach and there's no travel fee anywhere in South Hillsborough County, including Sun City Center, Ruskin, Wimauma, Riverview and Brandon. I also film across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton and Sarasota for a small travel fee.
You'll see the full raw conversation within a few days, so nothing is ever waiting on me. Edited films take about three weeks because I go through every minute, organize it into chapters, and weave in your family photos where the stories happen.
The free call is just a conversation. Tell me about them, ask me anything, and if it's not the right time, that's completely fine.
