Why now
The stories go quietly.
Nobody plans to lose them. One day the person who knew every name in the old photo album is gone, and the questions you meant to ask go with them. The recipe with no measurements. How they got here. What they were like at seventeen.

Hola, I'm Miguel.
I've spent over fifteen years helping small businesses tell their story online. Websites, brands, campaigns. Good work I'm proud of. But somewhere along the way I realized the most important stories in my own family lived in exactly one place: the memories of the people I love. And memory doesn't come with a backup.
So I started filming. First my own family, en español y en inglés, and I watched something happen at that kitchen table that no website ever gave me. People sat up straighter. They laughed at things they hadn't thought about in forty years. Legado Films is that table, opened up to your family.
I grew up between two languages, so your interview can happen in English, in Spanish, or the way most families I know actually talk: both at once.

A free 15-minute call. You tell me about them, and I send you a question guide so nobody shows up nervous, including you.
We film at their home
Two to three relaxed hours. Coffee, stories, probably a few happy tears. I handle every bit of the tech so they only have to be themselves.
You get the film
In about three weeks: edited, organized into chapters, with their photos woven in. Delivered online and on a keepsake USB.

Questions families ask
You're probably wondering…
My mom says she has no stories worth telling. Now what?
Almost everyone says that at first. Then we sit at the kitchen table, I ask about her first job or the day she met your dad, and suddenly we're an hour in and laughing. I send a question guide before we film so nothing feels like a test, and I'm patient. The stories are there. They just need someone to ask.
Is it too late if dad's memory is slipping?
Sooner is always better, but a good day still holds beautiful stories. Older memories often stay vivid the longest. I keep those sessions shorter and gentler, follow his pace, and film more than one visit if that helps. Families tell me those are the recordings they end up watching the most.
What if they cry on camera?
Some tears usually show up, and most of them come attached to a laugh. We pause, have some coffee, and keep going when they're ready. Those honest moments are usually the parts the family treasures most, and anything they'd rather leave out, we leave out.
Can you film someone who is in hospice or very ill?
Yes. When time matters, I move fast. I can usually schedule within a few days, keep sessions as short as needed, and work around care routines and nurses. Even twenty minutes of their voice saying what they want their family to know becomes something the family keeps forever.
Can we split the cost between siblings?
Yes, and honestly that's how most families do it. Three or four siblings chip in and give the film as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift. I can send separate payment links and payment plans are available.
Where do you film?
At your loved one's home, wherever they're most comfortable. I'm based in Apollo Beach and there's no travel fee anywhere in South Hillsborough County, including Sun City Center, Ruskin, Wimauma, Riverview and Brandon. I also film across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton and Sarasota for a small travel fee.
How long until we get the film?
You'll see the full raw conversation within a few days, so nothing is ever waiting on me. Edited films take about three weeks because I go through every minute, organize it into chapters, and weave in your family photos where the stories happen.
